Food for thought:

Reconciliation can never take place if forgiveness is not granted first.

No-one can wake up one morning and decide to search and begin to build a relationship with the one/S they hate.

I think it would be relatively easy to deliver a message of forgiveness to a distant offender, but coming face to face with them is an entirely difference scenario, especially when the offence was so grave.
